Here, I offer my unique and well-trained English line editing skills for scientific manuscripts and publications.
Line editing focuses on the style, voice, and word choice of a work - I wouldn’t be looking for factual or scientific errors, but rather streamlining the story or buffing the message of the work in addition to basics like spelling and formatting.
I offer my skills to researchers, organisations, and editors who need an outside perspective on their work. No matter the stage of the work - original outline all the way to a final revision - I help polish and shine what is already there, while pointing out the gaps or missing context.
For this, I charge an hourly rate that is dictated by the client’s needs and situation. More details in consultation.
Qualifications: Prize-winning PhD thesis (NEV Dissertation Prize, 2020), several first-author peer-reviewed papers (see Research), all on top of 20+ years of English-language education and training, including a BSc in Biological Sciences and a Minor in English (University of Alberta, 2012).
